Things to Do

Arcadia Lite is great for those seeking an active lifestyle. Head to the Quartz Ridge Trail for a short yet strenuous hike in a classic desert landscape dotted with saguaro cacti. It’s a bit strenuous with rocky terrain, but those who stick it out are treated to panoramic views of North Phoenix, Piestewa Peak, and Camelback Mountain

Camelback Mountain has an elevation of more than 2,000 feet, making it an excellent spot for a hike or climb. The mountain has two trails, Echo Canyon and Cholla. Echo Canyon is a challenging hike with rocky terrain, but hikers are rewarded with phenomenal views at the summit. Much like Echo Canyon, Cholla is a challenging hike featuring breathtaking views of Scottsdale and Phoenix. Many hikers head to Cholla early to catch the stunning sunrise.

The Arizona Canal winds throughout the neighborhood and offers a scenic waterside trail in an otherwise desert-laden landscape. Completed by the Arizona Canal Company in 1885, the canal helped bring water to the north and across to the West Valley, allowing for the development of these areas. It’s part of the 132 miles of canals operated by the Salt River Project. Today, you’ll find breweries and restaurants along the canal — a perfect place to unwind!
